SMS Options

Byga enables the following SMS options.

  1. Users that activate SMS in their preferences and add a supported mobile operator in their user profile will receive an SMS whenever a mobile alert is activated by a Byga message sender.
  2. Users with access to user’s contact info on the mobile app will have access to click on the phone or SMS icon to launch the SMS

Note, the first option is a club option. Contact support if you would like to turn on SMS for your club (some clubs prefer to support and some clubs prefer not to support this option).

SMS for Message Notifications

Activating SMS in Preferences for Message Notifications

If SMS is activated for the club, users must take two actions. First, they need to turn SMS notifications in the messaging preferences.

With this setting, any Byga message that is sent with an optional mobile alert will also generate an SMS text if a supported carrier is also configured.


Configuring mobile operator for Message Notifications

The user must select the mobile operator (from the list of supported operators) to finalize their configuration.


Configuring SMS for Message Notifications on Mobile

The same configuration and settings can be performed on the mobile app.

Interacting with Native SMS on Byga Mobile

In addition to mobile notifications, users that are provided with access to other user’s (e.g., their team player contacts or team staff) phone number can click on the user to get options phone or SMS via their mobile device. These communications will be outside of the Byga mobile app.




Club Support of SMS for Message Notifications

The club can contact support to activate SMS for mobile notifications.

User Roles and Permissions

Clubs should think through the user access to contact phone numbers.
