Email

The Email tab is used to manage the club's email settings. In particular, it allows the management of Official Club emails (these are used by administrative groups so the email sender is shown as the official club email address rather than the specific sender’s Byga personal account email.  This allows an admin team to send emails using the same sender email address without having to share Byga account logins.

Note, these club emails do not need to have associated Byga user accounts. Depending on whether the club email happens to also have an associated Byga user account or not, the treatment will vary. If the email is being sent by the user associated with the Byga account. If the sender is an admin logged in as a different user, the club email name listed on this page will be used. If the Byga user associated with the email address is the one sending the email, their name in their Byga user profile will be used as the sender’s label.

To: vs Bcc: Recipient lists

The current behavior for sending email is to use the To:, but messages can optionally be sent on a per message basis with recipients hidden using the Bcc: option. The system will warn the sender if there is a large recipient list to suggest sending via Bcc: in order to hide the recipient list in the email. Additional default options are planned.
