Changing Event Time Zones

Competition and Event Time Zones

When a competition does not indicate a time zone, it is assumed by default to occur in the club time zone. Each competition has a time zone that can be changed when the event is in a time zone different than the club’s time zone.

In some cases, a league may have games in multiple time zones. Each individual event time zone can also be updated.

Change Competition Time Zone

If the competition time zone is not correct, it can be corrected. Note, changing a competition time zone is normally done when none of the games are in the club’s time zone (e.g., an out of state tournament in a different time zone but appearing in the club’s time zone).

Note, the league sites times are then assumed to reflect the new time zone and displayed with the new time zone.

Changing a competition time zone will affect all relevant events in the competition.

Change Event Time Zone

Change an event time zone when a single event is in a different time zone than the rest of the competition.

Changing an individual event time zone should normally be considered only when not all events are in the same time zone and correcting the competition time zone will not provide the desired result. This is typically only relevant for leagues with games in multiple time zones. When changing the event time zone, optionally notify the team.
