View, Manage or Create Seasons
Existing Seasons can be viewed, a new Season can be created and set up, or the settings of an existing Season can be edited.
View Current Season Rosters Quick Access
A link to the most current Season’s rosters will be on the Dashboard of users with the necessary permission. See #2 in the image.
Season Menu
The current season menu provides the following functions:
- Settings
- Clone
- Inspect competitions
- Delete
Create New Season (if needed)
If a new Season is needed, navigate to the top Admin menu and select Seasons. Click on the + New Season button. Provide a name and the Start and End dates for the new Season. These dates don’t have to be exact.
Settings
In Settings, change the name, start date and end date. In addition, the roster can be locked. This is useful when in the process of transitioning to a new season and roster changes should only be made in the new season.
Clone Season
To simplify the creation of teams and rosters, if most teams will carry over to the new season you can clone the current season and select the Teams only option. If in addition, most players will continue on their current teams, you can instead select the Teams and players option.
Note, when cloning a season and teams are cloned, cloned teams will not be associated with a registration and will all appear in the competitive teams tab.
Inspect Competitions
Competitions are typically reviewed during a season transition.
Change the Current Season
Various permissions are associated with managing Seasons. For example, the “Make current” option may be limited to Byga Support personnel so the change of Season is made with the assistance of Byga support..
