Home Field Reservation: Games
The Games tab provides a view of games for a given day. These could be tentative dates or confirmed dates.
Messaging Teams from Game Tab
To produce a game day email, select a particular game day to send an email to participants (by game status, by field, by player vs staff).
Use Template for Game Day Message
An option (if enabled in permission) is available to select from templates (e.g., instructions for particular fields).
Game Slots
The Game Slots tab provides a filtered list (by type and by time range) of game slots. If notes are added to a game slot (e.g., a hidden slot with a note “Reserved for tournament”) then “tournament” could be used as a search term to find all fields reserved for a tournament.
Game slots can be filtered by slot status:
- All
- Available (can be reserved)
- Used (are reserved for a specific game)
- Hidden (are not visible to teams reserving fields)
- Blocked (e.g., when a parent 11v11 game slot blocks child 9v9 game slots)
Game slots can be filtered by date:
- All
- Past
- Upcoming
- Custom date range
Game Slots Actions and Export
The following actions can be taken on (one, multi-select, or all) game slots:
- Add note to selected game slots
- Hide / Unhide selected game slots
It is recommended to add a note (with date) that can be searched when an action is going to be taken. The reason is that an action can change the selected entries and the screen needs to be refreshed before taking a subsequent action. For example a series of actions:
- Find available slots in a date range
- Action: Add note - Return to city 4/11
- Refresh screen
- Search: Return to city 4/11
- Action: Hide
